About Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class

The first generation X156 GLA-Class was first introduced in 2013, making its debut appearance at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

The GL stands for Geländewagen (German for off-road vehicle) and the A signifies its overall place in the Mercedes range, in this case, the A-Class.

The GLA was given a facelift in 2017. This included a handful of cosmetic tweaks, including a redesigned grille, new front and rear bumpers and updated 18-inch alloy wheels. All the bi-xenon headlamps and taillights were replaced with LED units. On the interior, the infotainment system received a new 8.0-inch screen.

The second generation was unveiled in 2019, with a plug-in hybrid version revealed in March 2020.
